Melamine Sliding door colour options

Sliding Doors with Melamine Panels in Tuxedo and Ivory Aluminum hardware TorontoMelamine sliding doors? Why, yes! Space Solutions continues to expand product selection for our sliding door program. The latest is a new assortment of standard melamine colours – these sixteen finishes all come in 1/4″ melamine, ideal for use in our door hardware.  These melamine sliding door finishes are sure to provide enough variety to suit most styles and preferences. Even better, these boards are all double-sided, making them ideal for use in room dividers where both sides are visible. The image shown here depicts a set with Ivory panels top and bottom, with a band of Tuxedo in the middle. You may combine the melamine panels with glass and/or mirror to create an endless series of scenarios that are as unique as you. White Chocolate has been a very hot colour since it was introduced. Like many of the finishes in this collection, it is also available in the standard 3/4″ board we use for cabinet construction – so you can carry the colour theme throughout your home! Or use it to contrast Dark Chocolate! White chocolate looks great with aluminum hardware.

Introducing Coloured Glass for Sliding Doors!

Black and Pink Back Painted Glass doors

We’re thrilled to introduce new options for our successful Niagara series sliding door program. The glass inserts are back-painted, so they are fully opaque; no matter what you have behind the doors, things will be concealed, and your room will be beautiful and unique.  The doors pictured to the left use a combination of Black and Shocking Pink.

White and Green Back Painted Glass Sliding doors

With over a dozen colours to choose from, you can create truly unique combinations to suit your style and decor.  Create a scheme that compliments your furniture or a piece of art on your walls.  For coloured glass options, we use 6mm Starfire glass, which is glass that has its iron content vastly reduced, so you are working with truly clear glass that doesn’t have a green tone that would conflict with the colour selected. The set on the right uses a combination of White and Pear Green.

These doors are great in office spaces, too.  Close off your Guest closet with a set that makes a statement, and runs smoothly. The colour palette is still evolving, but so far includes a few shades of blue, some greens and yellows, and some gorgeous neutral tones, like Oyster.  We have physical samples of the glass at our showroom now.

The images shown all feature regular Starfire glass, which is glossy. You have the further option of having the glass Acid-Etched, which gives it that frosted look and texture, and softens the brightness to a wonderful effect. These doors will look great in any room in the home, or office.

* Note: Back-Painted glass is not recommended for use in Room Divider applications, where the backside of the doors will be regularly seen and handled, as it the backside is noticeably different from the front.

Sliding Door Program

Choc Pear Whit Lami doors

Our Niagara Series program for sliding doors has been a big success  We continue to explore new materials to combine with the hardware to create unique door systems.  By far, the most popular option is the White Lami glass, creating a frosted glass look, without the expense of blasted glass.  We have also been incorporating mirror and board inserts, sometimes within the same door panel, to great effect.  Board inserts are available in 9 standard colors, but we have also used material to custom laminate the board, which means a nearly endless array of options.  Click here to view a PDF that shows you the standard offerings for panel colours; of course, you should make your decision based on physical samples.

Coming soon – New Closet Doors program!

We’re about to “roll” out a new program of sliding doors for closets and room dividers!  We’re combining aluminum European hardware with a variety of insert options, and are cutting and assembling in house, to give you the best product for the best pricing.  We expect to have a new page launched on our website by the end of the month showing possible combinations, and we also plan to have display doors put in by January too, so you can see just how great this door hardware is.    In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek:
